The annual Unlimited British Open Team Championship – Icebreaker XXXI saw 21 teams compete for the honour at the Adrian Flux Arena.
Belgian man 1 Maarten Steenbekkers had the car of the day with his Mk4 Chevrolet Caprice Hearse. 132 Connor Dando piloted a fresh Volvo 240 saloon, whilst there were a few used yanks. There were several that made the effort on the paint front too.
The racing saw a close battle for points between TWT and TCB with TWT A and TCB B level at the top heading into the final. 327 Mick Maskell Jnr raced to the win in the Final from 506 Danny Mitchell which secured the title for TCB B – TWT A having to settle for second with TWT B third.
The decimation of 114 Liam Lake in the Final helped earn BRCM the Entertainers League with Aftermath B in second and one of the TWT outfits in third.
The attention shifts to the 1600 Icebreaker on Sunday 2nd February.
