A good turnout of cars, with mostly Mercedes and Scorpios and 632 Callum Reed in a used Mk2 Granny.
Heat 1 was led by 17 Kyle Overy before he was hit wide by 257 Timmy Aldridge on turn 1 for the lead. 570 Jordan Cumming moved into second, before overhauling Aldridge for the lead as 331 Jason Jackson took over third. Jackson then shoved past Cumming into turn 1 for the lead, as 233 Dan Toepfer and 341 Andrew Jones spun on turn 2, helped round by 932 Rhys Reed, as 331 Jackson went on for the win.
384 John Golden spun in the pack on the back straight as heat 2 got underway, with 17 Overy heading 455 Ricki Finney and 327 Mick Maskell Jnr. 257 Aldridge came up the order to move into second, as 74 Adam Hitchcock shoved 590 Michael Galloway fencewards into turn 1 and they scuffed round the plating. 257 Aldridge got up 17 Overy’s inside down the back straight for the lead, before he was overhauled by 331 Jackson. 233 Toepfer spun off turn 2 to get collected head-on by 17 Overy, as 331 Jackson claimed his second win of the afternoon.
The Tim Day Memorial Final was led away by 257 Aldridge from 400 Lee Kingsnorth and 699 Stacey Holdsworth, as 632 Reed collected the turn 1 fence. 317 Lauren Overy moved into second, as 932 Reed spun on the home straight, Reed recovering to then spin on turn 4. 570 Cumming moved into second, before 257 Aldridge clipped the backmarking 878 Joe Prior into turn 3 with a couple of laps to run, Aldridge hitting the fence as Prior spun. 570 Cummings took over the lead for the win.
