Driver of the Year
1st – 617 Jack Overy – 37.6%
617 Jack Overy had another blinding year which saw him come out on top as the Caged Driver of the Year. Victory in the World of Shale and Unlimited East Anglian Championships, as well as a fourth in the World Final among other strong performances show that Jack is still very much at the top of his game.
2nd – 760 Joey Reynolds – 11%
Another solid year for 760 Joey Reynolds, after his record-breaking year in 2019. Joey took countless titles once again, the highlight being his romp at Lochgelly in October taking the Micro World Cup and Open Scottish titles in one weekend. Joey qualified for only his second Unlimited World final too, so thoroughly deserving of his spot in the top 3!
3rd – 217 Sid Madgwick – 10.1%
The Team Black youngster has had a proper breakthrough year. The ex-Saloon Stock Car man took the biggest title of the year in December, sweeping the Unlimited World Final, and he proved it wasn’t a fluke by taking another two second place finishes on the night, as well as winning the Under 25 Championship of GB at Kings Lynn.

‘The Cock’ has been a popular figure this year, and has never shied away from a crash, but this year seems to have just upped the anti. The Aftermath man saw himself qualify for his first Unlimited World Final via the Trackstar Entertainers Points, in which he won. Callum will feature in a documentary by Impact Videos set to be released on New Years Eve
2nd – 360 Jack Reynolds – 14.8%
Although coming second in last years World Final, Jackstar continued where he left off in terms of top material and the top attitude of crashing and getting involved in the action wherever he went seeing him qualify yet again through the BWS Entertainers League.
3rd – 341 Andrew Jones – 12.3%
DWO man 341 Jonesey has usually benefited from the luxury of having his teammates around him to go crashing with. This year he has mostly travelled on his own and been severely outnumbered, but he hasn’t let that bother him, being game for the crash wherever he has visited.

As a team they have lifted both multiple individual titles, as well as a strong showing in the Unlimited Icebreaker at the start of the year. Their success was really on show at the World Final, where 3 of the 4 were from the faction.
2nd – 3 Litre – 27.8%
We’ve already touched on the success of Joey and Jackstar, but throw in the legend that is Keefy, and top entertainer Leeful, along with hosting stellar meetings like the Undercracker and Tongham Classic, team 3 Litre have a mainstay position among the leading team names in the sport.
3rd – BRC – 6.4%
Boogie, Roona and Chaz, along with the odd appearance from Nutspeed, have been ones to watch all season. Some top wrecking from the faction, along with the Mendips Points title, they have done it all.

The Alfasud Giardinetta of Bilge Brigade’s 328 Mike Parry is probably one of the rarest cars to have hit the track in recent times. The Alfa realistically got overlooked by many not having the recognition it deserves from some, but what a motor with an incredible back story too.

2nd – 360 Jack Reynolds – 14.9%
360 Jackstar is another that’s had the material all year as the BWS Entertainer League promotes the use of tin being used. A Ford Scorpio Limo, Volvo 740 Limo, Ford Granada Mk2 and Ford Customline being among his car highlights of the year.
3rd – 162 Brent Shaw – 8.5%
‘The Viking’ 162 Brent Shaw’s World Qualifying campaign saw him use solely Ford Scorpio Limos or Hearses, before a Mk2 Ford Granada in the World Final. Viking even had the time to sneak in a Volvo 960 Limo before the end of the year at the Ringwood Wednesday night Unlimited session.

Highlights including a track pile up in both the final and showdown, as well as the follow in on 145 Sonic by 415 Corndog, 252 Boogie’s blitz of 514 Marty, and 433 Smith’s ruined 240 Estate courtesy of the Midnight Runners among others.

The Civil War is always a fan favourite, and the 2020 session appeared to be back to its typically savage ways.
